Cirencester’s The Barn Theatre in Cirencester have linked up with mountaineer and adventurer Kenton Cool for a series weekly live-streamed entertainment.

The weekly show, hosted by Kenton Cool and Barn Theatre Artistic Director Iwan Lewis, will feature discussions on climbing, sports, hot topics and stories from Cool’s many expeditions. The first thirty-minute episode will launch on the Barn Theatre’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter channels on 2 April 2020 at 6pm. Keep an eye on the website for any changes.

Kenton Cool, who lives in Gloucestershire, holds the British record for the most climbs to the summit of Mount Everest and, in 2013, became the first person to climb Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse in a single push without returning to base camp.

The Barn Theatre’s Artistic director, Iwan Lewis said: “Kenton has been a friend of The Barn for a while now. We hope via our online streaming service to keep people connected and help maintain that community spirit. So far we have had guests like Daisy Cooper from This Country and Helena Bonham Carter included in our broadcasts, which we think provide a mix of community news, entertainment, music and children’s content that reflects the inclusive ethos of the theatre.”

The Barn Theatre (registered charity no. 1174253) have launched a donations campaign,

SAVE OUR BARN, via their website and social media platforms.
