The Coln Valley Trail Runs

The Coln Valley Trail Runs are set along the beautiful Coln River valley between Coln St Aldwyns and Bibury with the routes following flat and fast scenic trails.  There will be races for the whole family and a bar, BBQ and cake stalls waiting at the finish.

Date: Saturday 14th September 2024
Time: 10.30am start 

- 2km Steeplechase Fun Run for all ages - a cross-country route around grassy fields, featuring hay bale hurdles & 2 crossings of the "dip of doom".  Under 7's to be accompanied by an adult. You can also include the children's' primary school or athletics club on entry so that they can try to become Team Champions of the steeplechase

- 5km Trail Run - Following a short climb out of the valley, this beautiful route follows undulating terrain through predominantly grass pasture of the Coln Valley.  Recommended age 11 or over unless accompanied by an adult.  

- 10km Trail Run - Initially following the same route as the 5km trail, it splits off to take a figure of eight route to Bibury, including past the picturesque Arlington Row cottages.  Recommended age 16 or over.

So whether you’re gunning for a fast trail time, looking for a change from park run, seeking to justify a big pub lunch (check out the locals – New Inn and Keepers Arms) or just wanting a beautiful country walk, please enter now as spaces are limited.
