Dobbies Garden Centres is hosting a free-to-attend monthly gardening workshop at its Cirencester store, for children to discover how they can encourage winter birds into the garden.

November’s Little Seedlings workshop is all about bird feeders, winter birds and how we can encourage them into our gardens. Children will discover how birds survive in winter, which foods give them the most energy, and why some foods should be avoided. They’ll also explore different types of bird feeders and learn simple ways to make gardens more bird-friendly in winter. The workshop includes an interactive sorting game where children decide which foods are safe for birds, as well as a hands-on activity to make their very own fat ball bird feeder.

This workshop will cover:
