Guided Bird Walk
Next dates
Sorry, there are no future dates available
Would you like to be able to recognise some of the songs and calls of our familiar garden and woodland birds? Join Cirencester Wildlife Group and Andy Lewis from the North Cotswolds Ornithological Society on a guided bird walk of the City Bank Local Nature Reserve on Bank Holiday Monday (6th May). As well as providing an opportunity to learn about some of our familiar feathered friends and brush-up on your identification skills, there should also be plenty of opportunities to spot some less familiar species.
Highlights of previous walks have included a red kite, little egret and a great spotted woodpecker, as well as green finches, gold crests and a sparrow hawk. Binoculars are recommended although not necessarily essential as many of the birds will be identifiable by their songs and calls. The event is open to all members regardless of experience, however places for each event are limited to twelve participants; please email Cirencester Wildlife Group to reserve a place: wildciren@gmail.com
Please dress appropriately for the terrain and weather conditions.
