Gloucestershire’s Virtual Sports Day to raise funds for NHS Charities.
The aim of Virtual Sports Day is to invite children and young people across the county to take part in an event that encourages them to have fun, and participate in sports or other fun activities to keep active and join together for a good cause.
Everyone will have different abilities, so the Virtual School would like them to set a challenge which is suitable for them, whether it is 10 minutes or two hours. It is the taking part that counts.
Children can do an activity in their home or garden
It can be as silly or as sporty as they like
If they wish to, friends and family can sponsor the activity by making a donation to the Virtual Sports Day Just Giving page in aid of NHS Charities.
The virtual school would love to see photos or videos of the sports and activities children take part in and is asking for them to be shared on social media using the hashtag #VirtualSportsDay
The county council has involved its young person’s ambassadors in the development of this fun event which aims to raise £5,000.00 for the NHS.
