Plant a tree in the new Jubilee Community Arboretum, Cirencester Park
A fun opportunity has arisen for members of the local community to plant trees and shrubs in the Jubilee Community Arboretum at Cirencester Park in memoriam to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, while creating new parkland for the enjoyment of all.
Members of Cirencester’s community are invited to take part in hourly planting sessions on Saturday 18th February from 10.00am to 3.00 pm. A fun half-term activity for all.
The Queen’s Green Canopy is a nationwide initiative to mark the Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Extended to the end of the planting season (March 2023), it aims to create a living legacy and tribute to Her Majesty. It is also an opportunity to bring communities together to plant in areas that will benefit future generations.
Book a session here.
Access: pedestrian entrance to the Jubilee Community Arboretum will be signposted from Windsor Walk within Cirencester Park. Car parking is available at The Old Kennels Car Park (postcode GL7 1UR) free of charge for the duration of the planting session. At other times it is a pay-for-use car park.
