Collaborative Draw and Explore Session - Medieval Labours of the Month
Next dates
Take inspiration from the exhibition Illuminating the Year: Medieval Calendar Lore Re-imagined in this creative workshop for children aged 8–11.
Participants will create an image celebrating a month in the medieval calendar, weaving together text, nature, and rural activities.
With a focus on observation and imagination, children will develop their drawing skills while exploring seasonal changes through colour palettes.
The workshop is led by artists Polly and Louise from the exhibition. Polly is an experienced illustrator and tutor, having taught at institutions including Camberwell College of Arts and the Open College of the Arts, while Louise brings her unique perspective as an illustrator inspired by rural life and imaginative storytelling.
