CHALFEST!!

We believe in bringing our community together, Chalfest aims to promote a real sense of community identity in the areas of Chalford and Eastcombe through this unique event. Chalfest is a not for profit community interest company and has been organised entirely by the good hearted volunteers in the community.

The 7,500 capacity event has no camping but your tickets entitle you to come for the Friday evening (4-9.30pm) and all day Saturday (11-9.30pm)

We have three music stages, village green area, comedy, workshops, food trucks, bars and markets plus a tonne of free stuff for kids to make, see and do and the 9.30pm finish makes it the perfect family festival.

We have four main aims:
◆ To have all of the individuals and community groups working as one to both plan and implement the event. This way not only is there ‘something for everyone’ but we all get to learn from others around us
◆ To promote the community groups to allow them to fundraise as well as grow in public awareness, membership and support. This is achieved by giving community groups a free pitch at Chalfest to do as they will and from which they will keep all the proceeds
◆ To teach skills and compliment studies for people of all ages. We have had art students create awesome decor, cookery students help plan the food demo tent, young people on work experience or older people passing on invaluable knowledge
◆ To create a superb, fun and exciting event that we can all enjoy and of which we can all be truly proud

Chalfest aspires to be a sustainable event, following the same ‘Leave no Trace’ principles of bigger festivals and in certain comparisons doing better!
Transport is already minimal as most attendees live locally; a shuttle bus will bring in others from further afield. Catering suppliers are local too, with many food and drink products made locally.

CAR PARK
The car park is situated on the Chalford Hill School Sports field on Highfield Way, GL6 8LZ. You can only park here if you have purchased a parking permit via Ticketfairy. Please make sure you bring your car park ticket with you. The car park is open from 3pm on Friday and from 10am on Saturday and stewards will be present throughout the day. We accept no responsibility for cars left overnight and ask that all cars vacate the car park on the same day. There is no overnight camping available in the car park or at the festival.
There is no other parking within half a mile of the site.  Gloucestershire Highways will enforce any parking restrictions and road closures will be in place.  Parking cones will be placed on all surrounding roads and local residents will be issued with parking permits if they need to park on the road.  Please help us by following the parking restrictions in place as they are for maintaining emergency vehicle access across the villages.

BLUE BADGE CAR PARK

Disabled parking is available at Chalford Sports and Social Club but must be pre booked and is only available to those with a Blue Badge Parking Permit.  Please email info@chalfest.co.uk if you wish to use this car park stating make, model and registration of the vehicle.

TAXIS
There is no taxi rank at Chalfest. We suggest pick/drop off is best in the car park of the Old Neighbourhood pub on Midway GL6 8EN.
