Restaurants

Located at the Old Kennels site on the edge of Cirencester Park, Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden is a unique and exciting addition to the Cirencester dining scene. Head Chef, Sam Idoine creates generous daytime and evening menus showcasing fresh, home-grown produce from the restaurant's on-site 1/4 acre kitchen garden alongside top quality artisan produce sourced from within a 25-mile radius, including locally reared beef, lamb, pork and poultry, game from the Bathurst Estate and its neighbours, fresh fish and seafood delivered daily from Brixham in Devon and locally grown and produced soft drinks, wines and beers.

Sam's menus cover brunch, lunch and dinner (dinner served on Friday and Saturday evenings) with seasonal tweaks and focusing on classic English dishes with creative, French touches. A regularly changing ‘specials board’ offers delicious ‘Field to Fork’ dishes dictated by the seasons and what’s best on the day. There's also a children’s menu and a daily selection of delicious cakes and bakes.

Roots + Seeds occupies a beautiful, light-filled, new-build space with vaulted ceilings, industrial fixtures, scrubbed pine farmhouse tables and large windows overlooking its kitchen garden. With the focus on sustainability and creating a sense of community, the Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden is open daily to all visitors and also to attend talks on Saturdays about growing your own with co-founder, Toby Baggott, alongside a rolling programme of gardening courses, and as a welcoming place for local school children, volunteers and charities during the week.

On 9th March, Roots + Seeds Deli will open opposite its café/restaurant and next door to Lily’s Antiques. This new specialty, artisan food store will be an extension of its restaurant well-stocked with the finest seasonal produce from established and newly discovered suppliers and producers, including those who also deliver directly to Roots + Seeds restaurant kitchen on a regular basis, alongside daily picked produce from the kitchen garden.
