British Transport Police will host the 60th  annual National Police Dog Trials at Cirencester Park from 11 to 14 May.

See police dogs and their handlers from across the United Kingdom compete in a series of trials, including agility, searching and obedience.

PD Indie (pictured) will be representing British Transport Police in the competition.


The event will be open to members of the public on Saturday, 14 May, from 9.00 am–3.00 pm. The Leisure Area which is located close to Cirencester Park Polo Club.

 

There will be a small donation of £5 per car to attend, which will be donated to the Railway Dogs Benevolent Fund and the National Foundation for Retired Service Animals. Local residents who arrive on foot will not be required to make a donation. 


Inspector Paul Miles said: “We are thrilled to be hosting the 60th National Police Dog Trials and incredibly grateful to the Bathurst family for accommodating the event in their stunning estate.

“General purpose dogs are an extremely valuable asset in deterring crime and keeping people safe, and all of those competing will be showcasing skill, control and discipline of the highest standard.


“Preparations are well underway for May, and we look forward to what will no doubt be a wonderful event!”
