Description

Cirencester Library's Sensory Area is perfect for children ages 5 and under, although the area is available for all children and their parents to use.

The space features lighting, toys and equipment to improve children’s communication skills, supporting and encourage reading skills by giving them somewhere fun to learn. The space is especially valuable for children who have limited communication skills.

Cllr Joe Harris, county councillor for Cirencester Park comments: “Our library is one of the best facilities in Gloucestershire and this serves to make it better. Helping children learn to read and building their communications from an early age is vital in giving them the foundations they need in order to thrive later on in life.”

Also included at Cirencester Library is Story Time; Toddler Time Stories and Rhymes - every Tuesday 2pm - 2.45pm (term time only), aimed at children under five. Baby Bounce and Rhyme - Thursdays 10am - 10.30am (throughout the year, including school holidays). As well as helping your child's development, these classes provide a great way for you to meet other parents and carers.
