- All The Family

NEW OPENING TIMES
From Monday 7th September 2020 until February Half Term 2021 the visitor centre will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays during term time.
This decision has not come lightly but it necessary to ensure that we have a full team of staff to run a fantastic programme of activities during Wednesday – Sundays to keep you all entertained come rain or shine.
CAFÉ OPENING TIMES
From 1st September the Café will stop serving its freshly prepared foods at 3pm.
It will still be open for hot and cold drinks, cakes, and confectionery until 5pm. The Piglet’s Pantry will also be operating a cold food takeaway service until 5pm.
SOFT PLAY TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST JANUARY 2021
Although the Government has announced that soft play areas can now open in England they come with some extremely strict guidelines. For us to operate within these guidelines, not only would we have to double the staff needed to look after our play areas but we estimate that only 3 small family groups would be able to use our play areas at any one time. We would also have to keep our toddler area and rabbit warren closed at it fails to meet the current guidelines. This would not only lead to disappointing our visitors but to us losing money every day we opened. Money we just do not have. Therefore, we are forced to keep our indoor play areas closed until the guidelines are relaxed and we can ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
We will review this in January 2021. We fully appreciate that this will be very disappointing, but unfortunately, it is out of our control.
Following the success of our all summer activities our team will continue to provide a full programme of activities (undercover when it is wet) to keep you all entertained. We are busy planning October half term and our Christmas experience – stay tuned for updates soon.
We first opened our doors in 1989 and as a family, we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the last 28 years. We are a family run business, employing local people (many from the same families), to entertain and provide a fun day out for many other local families. We very much hope to still be welcoming visitors to our farm for another 28 years.
We fully appreciate that some of the above information is disappointing, but these are TEMPORARY steps to ensure that Roves Farm is here for many years to come.
We would like to thank you again for all your support and understanding at what is a very difficult time for everybody. If you do have any queries, we would please encourage you to email the team at email@example.com.
We look forward to welcoming you soon. Head to our Facebook page for the latest updates.
We welcome visitors of all ages to come and enjoy hands-on farm experiences with our friendly farm animals, as well as experience the environment, sights and sounds of a working livestock farm. With excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for all ages, there is plenty to do for the whole family whatever the weather or season!
Animal barns and paddocks house a range of friendly farm animals including goats, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, poultry, rabbits & more to meet and touch. Hands-on activity sessions to feed, hold and interact with the animals run throughout the day, including feed the goats, egg collecting and cuddle the rabbits.
Explore the farm on a tractor and trailer ride, with special interactive themed activities during school holidays. Bring your running shoes and race the farm animals during our ‘Animal Races’ at weekends and school holidays (March – September). Let the children run off steam in our heated play and activity barn with areas for all ages including slides, tunnels, soft play and giant sandpit.
Visit us in term time with the little ones and take part in our weekday ‘Toddler Time’ with bubbles, story time and action rhymes! Followed by meet and feed the animals, and tractor ride.
