Summer Holiday Clubs in Cirencester

School holidays can be difficult for parents, trying to juggle childcare and work, while keeping the kids happy and safe. This summer is certainly going to be different from anything we've experienced before! As the government guidance on COVID-19 continues to evolve, we've gathered up the details of organisations offering holiday clubs in and around Cirencester throughout the summer holidays.

These holiday clubs have been set up with children's learning and development in mind; developing skills and building confidence in a supportive environment whilst providing safe, fun and engaging activities for youngsters.

All Seasons Forest School - Summer Holidays WILD PLAY

Our aim is to provide a fun, supportive environment that fosters a connection with ourselves, each other and nature, building a young community for the day.

Typically our days start and end with basecamp routine where we meet, discuss and share. During the day there will be the opportunity to play wide games, learn and master greenwood skills, take part in woodland crafts, construct and build shelters or make the most of a day of unstructured time in nature. We let the children take the lead and wholeheartedly support the sessions becoming child-led.

The sessions are led by Forest School Leaders and supported by an energetic and committed team with childcare, education or outdoor ed backgrounds.

We are pleased to say that new guidance, issued 1st July allows us to run holiday sessions in small groups of 5 children to 1 staff member with the encouraging of social distancing of 1m plus risk mitigation. These small groups will not be considered a bubble however we will be following guidance on the phased return of outdoor sports and recreation. Please also read this guidance for parents before deciding whether you wish to book your child in with us.

*We are also hoping to run some activities in Hailey Wood near Cirencester. More details to follow.

The Kitchen Club

Our fun, interactive workshops get children cooking, creating and crafting with food. Educational, informative and best of all delicious!

Children can learn some fantastic culinary skills, make friends and get stuck into cooking up a storm through our series of workshops, each with a focus on a different, delightful dish from around the world.

We have finally been given the ‘go-ahead’ to run our Summer Holiday Cooking workshops. This Summer we’ll be running 3 weeks of ‘TASTE-CATION’ cookery workshops and taking our taste-buds to different cuisine destinations every day. Our list of workshops are as follows:

All workshops excepting the one on 6th Aug will be held at the Lechlade Memorial Hall.

COVID19 Procedures:

  • Children will not be sharing ingredients or food but will only cook their own food.
  • Chefs will enjoy a portion of their food for lunch but will also bring back a portion for the family to taste.
  • Children from the same household will be allowed to cook together at the same cooking station.
  • Children from different households will keep a distance of 1m plus at all times.
  • There will be no sharing of equipment or ingredients.
  • We will only be able to cook with 8 children/households per day and this will be operated on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Please note that as these workshops are run on very tight margins so we have to have a minimum of 6 children/household signed up each day in order for it to run. We reserve the right to cancel any days where we do not have enough children booked in to run the workshops viably. Full refunds will be given in these circumstances.
  • Lunch and snacks, including all drinks, will all be provided for throughout the day so you don’t need to bring anything. We’ll also have the opportunity to do arts and craft activities in between our busy cooking.
