Head outdoors for a local walk

By Mother’s Day, the rules on meeting outdoors won’t have changed much, by then you can head out with your household or one person from another household for recreation (i.e., sitting on a bench with a coffee).

There are some wonderful walks in and around Cirencester from short and easy walks around town, to longer countryside treks through the surrounding villages.

Cirencester Park is the perfect place to wander up through the woods and back down the main path, stopping for a coffee from Beano; a fantastic converted horsebox, Just inside the Cecily Hill Gates, serving delicious barista coffees, teas, homemade cakes, ice creams & soft drinks.

Neigh Bridge Country Park is a particular favourite for families with a buggy-friendly lakeside walk (takes around 40 minutes) and a small playground for youngsters.

Just outside of the Abbey Grounds lies Harebushes Walk; a working wood with an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed by walkers. The 1-mile circular walk is great for families.

On the outskirts of Cirencester lies Cirencester Amphitheatre. The undulating hills are great for the kids to run up and down and you can also explore the network of paths in the adjacent Querns Wood.
