We're so lucky to have lots of great family-friendly music festivals on our doorstep where the family entertainment isn't just limited to great live music. These festivals also have lots going on for the kids too, from workshops and storytelling, to circus skills and crafts.

CIRENCESTER AND LECHLADE FESTIVALS

Lechlade Music Festival

When: 24th – 26th May

Lechlade Music Festival is a multi-award winning family-friendly festival in the beautiful Cotswolds market town of Lechlade.

3 nights and 3 days of live music, workshops, yoga, circus skills, arts & crafts, street dance and storytelling.

The 2019 line-up includes The Feeling, Faux Fighters, The Marley Experience, That 80s Rock Show and more.

CHELTENHAM FESTIVALS

Wychwood Festival

When: 31 May – 2 June, 2019

Where: Cheltenham Racecourse

Celebrating its 15th year in style, family favourite Wychwood Festival returns to the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, with more than 100 acts performing across four stages, plus a plethora of activities offering something for all ages to enjoy.

This year’s line-up so far includes headliners and legendary punk band The Stranglers, 80s new romantic heroes ABC, and pop rock sensations Scouting for Girls; plus T'Pau, Toyah, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band, Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer, DJ’s Steve Davis (yes the snooker player!) and Kavus Torabi, Bez, Count Skylarkin, Tankus The Henge, John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett and many more, including Wychwood’s world famous house band Thrill Collins.

Voted the UK's favourite family festival, Wychwood brings together a plethora of incredible entertainment for everyone to enjoy, including a packed programme of workshops, loads of amazing activities, debates and comedy for all ages to have lots of fun.

2000 Trees festival

When: 11-13 July, 2019

Where: Upcote Farm, Withington, Gloucestershire. GL54 4BL

Winner of eight national awards including ‘Best Medium Festival in the UK’ and described as “Britain’s Coolest Festival” by Kerrang! magazine, 2000trees is a 10,000-capacity weekend of live music, comedy and more set in the rolling Cotswold Hills, founded by six music fans tired of overpriced mainstream events that care more about profits than people.

2000trees is all about the music. With more than 120 of the absolute best new and underground acts from the worlds of rock and indie, plus some more established acts to close out the night. This years’ headliners are Frank Turner, You Me At Six and Deaf Havana. Barn on the Farm is an independent family-friendly festival that focuses on finding the diamonds in the rough and giving them a place to shine. Ed Sheeran, James Bay, Ben Howard, Hozier, George Ezra, Bastille, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Jack Garratt, Rag 'N' Bone Man, Bear's Den, Wolf Alice and many more have graced the barn floor in previous years; one can only imagine how many future award winners will take to the stage, so don't miss your chance to catch the spark before the wildfire spreads. The festival has a strong emphasis on intimacy, breaking the boundaries between audience and artist. Barn on the Farm strives to create a festival family that comes together to share a special and unique experience, an experience that fans come back for year on year.
